Sue Ann Hong

Sue Ann Hong is a skilled software engineer and manager with extensive experience in real-time model serving at Databricks since January 2017. Prior to this, Sue Ann worked at Facebook from December 2012 to December 2016, focusing on ML-based ads targeting involving infrastructure, products, and models, and completed an internship there in summer 2011 enhancing search ranking. Sue Ann's academic background includes a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where the thesis centered on distributed multi-agent planning algorithms utilizing mixed integer linear programming. Earlier experiences include a research internship at Alcatel-Lucent in 2006 and serving as a teaching assistant for a summer science program in 2005. Sue Ann earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Caltech and attended The Webb Schools.
