Tim Hsiau

Tim Hsiau is a software engineer with a diverse background in computational biology and data science. They currently work as a Staff Software Engineer at Databricks, focusing on advanced software solutions. Previously, Tim held notable positions at Google, Synthego Corporation, and Intrexon Corporation, where they developed data processing pipelines and high-throughput genotyping methods. Tim began their career as an intern at LS9, Inc. and has since contributed to various projects in bioinformatics, including NGS analyses and CRISPR technologies. They are pursuing a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, alongside a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
