Toby Balfre

Toby Balfre is an experienced leader in technical team development, currently serving as the VP of Field Engineering EMEA at Databricks since 2021. Previously, Toby held various roles at Databricks, including Snr Director Field Engineering EMEA and Director of Field Engineering. Earlier in their career, Toby worked at Dstl as a Data Mining Operational Researcher and at Capgemini as a Senior Data Scientist and Head of Data Science. Toby earned a distinction in MSc Operations Research from the University of Southampton and holds a 1st Class Honours degree in MPhys with Space Science and Astrophysics from the same institution.
