Wesley Ngai

Wesley Ngai is a skilled software engineer currently employed at Databricks since October 2017, contributing to the Billable Usage Infrastructure Team and the Spark Benchmarking Team. In the former role, Wesley develops and operates the billing pipeline that processes Databricks usage across multiple cloud regions, while in the latter role, the focus is on automating performance regression detection for Databricks Runtime. Prior to Databricks, Wesley worked as a scientific developer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from February to August 2017, focusing on benchmarking methods for large-scale graph processing, and at TU Delft from August 2015 to February 2017, concentrating on Big Data system performance analysis. Wesley’s academic background includes a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Delft University of Technology, completed in 2015 and 2012, respectively, along with experience as a teaching assistant in Big Data Processing.
