Yan Leshinsky is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership across various high-profile companies. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Databricks since September 2025, Yan previously held multiple vice presidential roles at Amazon Web Services from October 2020 to September 2025, managing significant products like Amazon Aurora, RDS, and Redshift. As the co-founder and CEO of Yandex.Cloud from April 2017 to September 2020, Yan successfully launched an on-demand cloud computing platform in just 18 months. Additional experience includes a senior role at Salesforce as SVP and Distinguished Engineer focused on autonomous infrastructure, earlier engineering positions at AWS, Microsoft, and lead engineering roles in various startups. Yan holds a Master's degree in Physical Chemistry from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, obtained between 1982 and 1989.
