Thad Pitney

Thad Pitney is the General Counsel at DataCamp. Prior to joining DataCamp, Thad was the General Counsel and Head of Administrative Operations at LoanStreet Inc. from April 2016 to March 2022. At LoanStreet, Thad was responsible for legal, compliance, risk management, and information security & data privacy initiatives. Thad also served as a key advisor and lawyer on all major business transactions and strategic initiatives, including multiple debt and equity financings.

Thad has extensive experience in contract negotiation, reviewing, drafting and negotiating in a manner that protects company interests while achieving strategic goals. Thad has also participated in the design of policies and procedures for internal controls, human resources, information security, finance and other areas. In addition, Thad has overseen enterprise information security and data programs, ensuring compliance with applicable state, federal, and international data privacy laws, technical standards, and contract requirements.
