Chris Day

Chris Day is currently a Board Member at Datacom. Prior to this, they were Chief Financial Officer at Z Energy Limited from July 2013 to May 2019. In this role, they led the Finance, Technology and Risk team of 180 people and was responsible for financial control, information and communications technology, performance and value, treasury, programme management, and risk and assurance. Some of their notable achievements include successfully leading a $378m United States Private Placement debt issue and playing a lead role in closing the transaction and securing financing for the $785m acquisition of Chevron New Zealand in 2016—one of New Zealand’s largest mergers. Chris was also part of the Z Executive team that was recognised in the Deloitte 200, 2016 awards, as ‘Company of the Year’.
