Jim Walmsley

Jim Walmsley is a Senior Software Developer and Architect with 39 years of experience in the IT industry, known for delivering complex systems across various sectors, including government, banking, and utilities. Previously, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at NZ Customs and are currently a Senior Software Developer at Datacom. With expertise in Java, SQL, and Agile methodologies, Jim has contributed significantly to projects such as the Trade Single Window application in New Zealand. In addition to their technical skills, Jim is a musician, performing as a guitarist and vocalist in various bands. They hold multiple degrees from the University of Canterbury, including a BSc and an MSc in Resource Management.
