Simon Rice

Simon Rice is a Senior Technical Consultant at Datacom since December 2019, previously holding the role of Senior System Engineer. Prior to this, Simon worked as a System Administrator at the Department of Fire and Emergency Services and as an IT Support Technician at IQPC Business IT Services and DataTech Solutions. A Coordinator for Control Room Systems at Rio Tinto, Simon was the first point of contact for system issues at the Operations Centre. Experience as an IT Support Officer at Mandurah Safety and Training Services involved providing first-line support for computer systems. Earlier roles include Support Technician at BHP Billiton and Technical Operations Supervisor at Ocean Broadband, where Simon managed installation projects and team performance. Additionally, Simon served as a Quantity Surveyor at OCL Facades Ltd. Academic qualifications include a Diploma in Computer Studies from the University of Derby and a Diploma in Information Technology from Chelmsford College.
