Chumeng Xu

Chumeng Xu has a diverse background in bioinformatics, software engineering, and product management, with relevant experience spanning from 2014 to the present. Initial experience includes a Bioinformatics Research Intern position at UCSD, where Chumeng analyzed RNA-Seq data and contributed to allele-specific analysis. Subsequent roles include Research Assistant at Syracuse University, where a new k-peak algorithm was developed, and Developer & Product Manager at Cornell Tech in collaboration with The New York Times, where product narratives were shaped and Python NLP backends were prototyped. Chumeng served as Team Lead and Developer at Verizon Connected Futures, successfully prototyping an IoT solution. Additional experience includes software engineering roles at LiveIntent, Inc., and Flatiron Health, culminating in a position as Engineering Manager at Datadog. Chumeng holds a Master's degree in Information Systems Connective Media from Cornell University.
