Kalyani Korla

Kalyani Korla, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to 2023. Kalyani started their career as a PhD scholar at the University of Hyderabad, where they focused on kinetic simulation of mitochondrial pathways. Following their PhD, they worked as a Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science, applying systems biology approaches to identify novel combinatorial drugs and construct protein-protein interaction networks. In 2019, they joined MetFlux Research Pvt. Ltd. as a Technical Project Manager. Kalyani'sresponsibilities there included managing technical projects until 2022. In 2022, Kalyani joined JoVE as a Product Manager, where they were involved in new initiatives and product management. Kalyani later became a Product Manager at JoVE. In 2023, they joined Datafoundry as an Associate Director, overseeing product development. Alongside their career, they also worked as a mentor at Metis Hive, providing career counseling and mentoring for life science professionals.

Kalyani Korla, PhD, has a diverse educational background and a strong focus on research in the field of biochemistry and systems biology. Kalyani completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Zoology from LAD College for Women in 2009. Following this, they obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology from Nagpur University in 2011. Kalyani then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biochemistry at the University of Hyderabad from 2011 to 2015.

After completing their Ph.D., Kalyani undertook a Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellowship in Systems Biology at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 2015 to 2018. During this time, they worked on advancing their research skills and contributing to the field of systems biology.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Kalyani has also acquired additional certifications to expand their skill set. Kalyani obtained a certification in Product Management Fundamentals from the C. T. Bauer College of Business (University of Houston) and the Institute of Product Leadership in March 2021. Kalyani also received a certification in UX/UI Design from the same institutions and during the same period.
