Datalabs was founded in 2003 by the 3 partners Christos Tzovanis, Thomas Skaperdas and Stylianos Vegkos and since then operates as a software application development company as well as a Lifelong Learning Center, licensed by the Ministry of Education. (Reg. No 2100359). The company is based in 14A Ethnikis Amynis Str.  in the center of Thessaloniki, Greece.

What sets Datalabs aside from its competition is that the company is a software producer specializing in training applications (e-learning) which it uses in its curricula, thus providing solutions in terms of flexibility and adaptation to its students. Hence there is the know-how of both ends: from the side of the trainee and his/hers educational needs but also from the side of the production of software for this purpose.

Courses are provided live or remotely, while for students outside Thessaloniki, Datalabs provides accommodation solutions in privately owned facilities. 

In its years of operation, more than 10,000 people (adults) have been trained in Thessaloniki and over 20,000 in total nationwide (online and through partnerships), in the 3 thematic areas it supports: Information Technology, Economics & Office Skills and Tourism, making the school a one of the largest in its industry nationwide.

The company is a CISCO academy and in matters of skills certification, there is cooperation with global organizations such as Microsoft, Pearson and the spin-off of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (ACTA)
