Chris Strong

Chris Strong has extensive work experience in the field of IT and datacenter operations. Chris started their career in 2000 as a Senior Technical Operations Manager at Newchannel, where they recruited and managed a team responsible for designing and maintaining datacenters. Chris also provided 24x7 support for sales engineering and escalated issues.

From 2002 to 2003, Chris worked as an IT Consultant for medium-sized businesses and non-profit organizations, providing desktop, server, network, and broadband administration and upgrades. During this time, they also upgraded a ShoreTel voice over IP (VoIP) phone system.

In 2003, Chris joined TSI Telsys as an IT Manager, where they assisted in the design and testing of high data rate satellite communication and telemetry equipment for NASA and the U.S. military.

In 2004, Chris worked as a Systems Engineer at LJT & Associates, Inc., where they played a technical lead role in upgrading the satellite link at the South Pole research station. Chris provided network design and system automation expertise for this federal contract.

Chris then worked as an IT consultant for various non-profit organizations before joining Xfire/Viacom in 2005 as a Senior Systems and Network Admin. There, they scaled Xfire's active and standby datacenters and managed the company's office network. Chris also played a key role in transitioning Xfire's California datacenters to Viacom's Secaucus, NJ datacenter.

From 2010 to 2013, Chris worked at Kindsight as the Manager of IT and Datacenter Technical Operations. Chris then moved on to Marble Security, Inc., where they served as the Director of IT and Datacenter Technical Operations from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, Chris joined IronKey by Imation as the Director of Engineering, overseeing the company's data centers and cloud services. When IronKey's cloud services were acquired from Marble Security, Chris played a crucial role in managing the transition.

Finally, in 2016, Chris joined DataLocker as the Director of Network Operations. Here, they managed the company's data centers and provided 24x7 support for its encrypted storage and Windows-To-Go devices.
