Director of Product Services at Datameer

Alan M. has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alan worked at Datameer from 2016 to the present, starting as a Senior Technical Support Engineer and progressing to roles of increasing responsibility, including Senior Team Lead, Manager, and eventually Director of Global Technical Support Engineering. In their current position as Director of Product Services, Alan is responsible for defining and scoping education, success, and support package offerings for customers. Alan also works directly with customer C and VP level management to ensure business needs are met and administers and maintains product support sites for all product offerings.

Prior to joining Datameer, Alan worked at Information Builders from 2007 to 2016. Alan started as a Technical Support Engineer Level 2 and advanced to the role of Technical Project Lead for the Initial Response Team. In this role, Alan handled escalated cases, scoped and defined new features, and provided expert configuration and coding advice for Information Builders WebFOCUS products.

Before joining Information Builders, Alan worked as a Technical Specialist at Faith Popcorn's BrainReserve from 2006 to 2007. Alan also gained experience as a Network/Computer Technician at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism from 2001 to 2004, where they troubleshooted software and hardware problems, assisted in rebuilding and upgrading computer labs, and built, repaired, and upgraded computers throughout the school.

Alan M. completed their education at Columbia Engineering from 2000 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Engineering. In November 2016, Alan M. became a certified Datameer Admin, followed by their certification as a Datameer Analyst in December of the same year.
