Evan Haveman has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Evan began their career in 1994 at dotcom marketing, where they worked as a geek and gained experience in CGI scripts, Perl, Java Servlets, and JSPs. From 2002 to 2004, Evan worked at Telus Communications as a Solutions Architect, designing the ADSL Order Automation project. Evan then worked at Amazon.com as a Software Development Engineer, leading the Data Warehouse team and developing a suite of multi-threaded servers and a Java applet for the company's ETL system. From 2006 to 2007, they were a Technical Architect at macrovision, assisting clients in integrating emeta software into their systems. Evan also worked as an Independent Consultant in Vancouver, BC from 2007 to 2012, undertaking various software projects using Java and Ruby on Rails. In 2012, they joined Datameer as a Principal User Interface Engineer. From 2013 to 2015, Evan worked at Spacelist.ca as an Engineer.

Evan Haveman obtained a Diploma in Computer Science from Langara College, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Additionally, they have obtained multiple certifications in various machine learning and deep learning topics from Coursera. Some of these certifications include "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Deep Learning Specialization," "Sequence Models," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Advanced Learning Algorithms," "Machine Learning Specialization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Supervised Machine Learning: Regression and Classification," and "Unsupervised Learning, Recommenders, Reinforcement Learning." These certifications were obtained between August 2022 and October 2022.
