James Garton

James has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate finance and corporate governance having held senior roles as an entrepreneur, a private equity financier, an investment banker and as senior executive and Director of a publicly listed company on the ASX and the NASDAQ.

James is currently a Director a multiple Australian and Asian technology companies and is the Group Head of Asia for New York investment bank Chardan Capital Markets LLC. From a payments perspective James was a co-founder of Malaysia’s MySwitch Sdn Bhd – a joint venture between Verifone and Al Bukhary Group, a principal advisor to the Priority One NASDAQ listing and a co-founder of the DataMesh Group, resulting in being deeply involved in Australian payment industry for the last 10 years.

James has been responsible both from a transaction and operational perspective for a diverse range of transactions in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, India, the US and the UK, where he has executed deals including equity capital markets, debt funding, hybrid funding, IPO’s, M&A, hedging, commodity trading and major corporate transactions. James holds a BA in Finance from Texas A&M University, a BS in Economics from Texas A&M University and a Masters Degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie University Sydney.
