Wietsche Calitz

Wietsche Calitz is an experienced Lead Data Engineer currently at Dataminded since May 2023. Previously, Wietsche had a significant tenure at JUMO from January 2017 to February 2023, where roles included Head of Prediction and Portfolio Services, Head of ML Engineering, Head of Data Engineering, and Head Data Architect. Wietsche's responsibilities included leading a global team, aligning data systems with business objectives, and implementing large-scale data solutions. Prior to JUMO, Wietsche was a Data Architect at Real Impact Analytics and consulted for various organizations, including FNB South Africa and Vodacom. Wietsche holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Digital Signal Processing from Stellenbosch University.
