Daniel Whatmuff has extensive work experience in various roles related to DevOps and infrastructure engineering. Daniel started their career in 2011 at CGI as an Infrastructure Engineer before moving on to BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer in 2013. In 2014, they joined the UK Home Office as a DevOps professional.
From 2016 to 2017, Daniel held Senior DevOps positions at both AMP and Xref. In 2018, they worked as a Senior DevOps at Waitrose & Partners and then as a Senior Engineer (DevOps/SRE) at Appvia.
Daniel co-founded WatchKeeper in 2019, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Daniel recently joined Dataminr in 2021 as the VP of Geospatial Engineering.
Daniel Whatmuff attended the University of Birmingham from 2008 to 2011 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Mathematics. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications. In July 2012, they received a certification in Requirements, Analysis, and Design from QA Ltd. Two years later, in July 2014, they obtained the AWS Solutions Architect certification from Amazon Web Services. In August 2016, they became a Certified Scrum Master and a Certified Scrum Product Owner, although the institutions that provided these certifications are not specified.
