Liz Gombert

Liz Gombert has extensive work experience in UX design and research. Liz is currently working as the Senior Director of UX Design and Research at Dataminr since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Paychex from 2015 to 2021, where they held various roles including Customer Journey Manager, User Experience Design Manager, and Creative Design Execution Lead. During their time at Paychex, they focused on strategy, customer experience, and design patterns, and played a key role in expanding and leading the UX team. Liz also worked as a User Experience Designer at LiveBetty from 2015 to 2016. Before that, they were a Chapter Co-Leader at Girl Develop It, where they led the Rochester Chapter and facilitated programs to promote women's access to software development education. Liz also served as the Lead UX Designer for Mobile Applications at Xerox Corporation via Solü Technology Partners from 2011 to 2015, designing user experiences for enterprise mobile applications. Liz started their career as an Adjunct Professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology and worked as an Interactive Designer at Enterprise Web Applications.

Liz Gombert began their education in 2005 at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in New Media Design & Imaging. Liz successfully completed this program in 2009. Continuing their academic journey, Liz then enrolled at the same university to undertake a Master of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. Liz studied from 2009 to 2011 and obtained their MFA in Graphic Design.
