Nick Carbone

Nick Carbone has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nick started their career as a Production Assistant at Talking Eyes Media, where they assisted with filming and editing documentaries. Nick then worked as an Assistant Editor at Smartman Daily, managing the editing and formatting of content. At Magnet Media, they served as a Production Coordinator, coordinating talent and managing research for video series. Nick also worked as an Editorial Intern at United Media, creating social media marketing plans and proofreading content.

Nick's experience in journalism includes being an On-Air Reporter Intern at KELO-TV, where they performed daily reporting and broadcasted stories. Nick later joined Northwestern University Information Technology as a Team Lead Analyst, supervising and training a team of user support consultants. Nick was also the News Director at WNUR News 89.3FM, where they supervised news staffers and won an award for "Best All Around Radio Newscast".

Nick's career in media continued at Time Magazine, where they worked as a Writer/Web Producer, writing stories and producing content for their platforms. Nick then became the Homepage and Breaking News Editor, curating feature stories and coordinating homepage coverage. Currently, Nick is working at Dataminr as the Director of Editors, leading a team and utilizing their expertise in news and domains.

Nick Carbone attended Northwestern University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a specialization in Broadcast Journalism. Additionally, in 2008, they studied abroad at Goldsmiths, University of London, focusing on Media and Communications.
