Michael DeFuria has been working in the engineering field for over 40 years. Michael began their career in 1979 as a Field Service/Application Engineer at Eaton Semiconductor. Michael then moved to Digital Equipment Corporation in 1984 as a Senior/Principal Engineer. In 1994, they joined Quantum Corporation as a Principal Firmware Engineer. Michael then worked at Cereva Networks as a Principal Software Engineer from 2000 to 2002. From 2002 to 2011, they were a Principal Software Quality Engineer at Mercury Computer Systems. Finally, they are currently a Customer Success Engineer at Datanomix since 2021.

Michael DeFuria completed their Associate of Electrical Engineering degree from Northeastern University in 1993. Michael then attended Clark University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2000. In 2006, they earned their Master of Software Engineering from Brandeis University.
