Datap was founded in response to a growing need among organizations for sovereignty over their IT solutions, especially data platforms. These platforms centralize data from various applications and serve as the foundation for reports and dashboards, enabling data-driven decision-making.
While Datap has deep experience building data platforms in Big Tech cloud environments, it recognized a rising concern: vendor lock-in, data security, compliance with local regulations, and lack of cost transparency. These concerns led organizations to seek alternatives beyond the obvious Big Tech options.
Datap responded by developing a data platform based on three core principles:
