Duane Churms

Duane Churms is a Senior Systems Engineer at DataProphet. Duane has over 9 years of experience in the engineering field. Duane started their career at Eskom as a Control & Instrumentation Object Engineer. Duane then went on to complete their Masters in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at the University of the Witwatersrand. After graduation, they worked as a Developer at Seecrypt Group Inc., where they were responsible for leading the C/C++ backend development team. In 2016, they joined Saicom Voice Services as an Innovation and Technology Engineer. Duane left Saicom in 2017 to join Featherlight Consulting as a Devops Engineer. Duane has been with DataProphet since 2019 and is currently responsible for managing and developing DataProphet's systems architecture.

Duane Churms attended Glenvista High School before studying electrical engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand. Duane then went on to study electrical, electronics and communications engineering at the same school, earning their master's degree.
