Sam Johnson has a diverse background in civil engineering and project management, with experience in various industries such as mining and aviation. Currently holding the position of Geotech Product Owner & Customer Success Lead at Datarock, Sam previously worked as a Senior Project Manager at Hobart Airport and as a Section Engineer at Kier BAM JV. With a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Tasmania, Sam has a solid foundation in engineering and design, with a focus on projects related to tailings dams, waste rock dumps, and mine rehabilitation. Prior to these roles, Sam worked with Caterpillar Underground Mining Pty Ltd as a Team Member in Factory Development and had experience as a Project Officer at Johnson Design.

They created low-level artificial intelligence and emerging technologies on secure cloud infrastructure with the goal of influencing geological workflows. They establish a solid technical foundation and expand beyond mining and exploration into other industries such as civilengineering.
