Meric Potier has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Meric started as an Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2009 before becoming a Teaching Assistant at K.U.Leuven in 2010. In 2011, they joined ING Belgium as an Expert Management Trainee, where they gained experience in project management and data science. Meric then became a (Program) Manager Advanced Predictive Analytics, leading the development of a data science team within the Customer Intelligence department.

In 2017, Meric joined P&V as a Manager Data & Analytics, where they established and led a multidisciplinary team focused on expanding the customer analytics activities. Meric also set up and led a Data Value Management task force within the organization. In 2020, they moved to Keyrus as Head of Data Governance & Data Management, where they delivered multiple projects in various industries and shaped data governance strategies.

Currently, Meric is the Head of Data & Cloud at dataroots, starting in 2023.

Meric Potier began their education in 2005 at KU Leuven, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in commercial engineering. Meric graduated from KU Leuven in 2008. In 2008, they furthered their studies at KU Leuven and obtained a Master's degree in Business Economics in 2009. After a few years, in 2015, Meric attended the Vlerick Business School, where they completed an Executive Master Class in Managing Big Data, specializing in fields such as big data, advanced analytics, and business intelligence. In 2007, they also spent some time studying at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, faculdade de economia, although it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from this institution.

In addition to their formal education, Meric Potier has also pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2012, they obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation certification. Meric also became a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified by ING in the same year. Furthermore, Meric has completed two advanced skills courses, namely "Advanced Management Skills" from Nexum in 2016 and "Advanced Leadership Skills" from FranklinCovey in an undisclosed year.
