Frank Zhao

Frank Zhao is an experienced investment professional currently involved with J17 Ventures since September 2020, where participation in the investment team is highlighted. Zhao also serves as a seed investor for multiple startups, including Tioga (March 2025 - Present), Dodo (YC S24), Ply Health (YC S24), Drillbit (YC S24), Thri5, Arini (YC W24), Openmart (YC W24), and Pantheon AI, all of which commenced in 2024. Additionally, Zhao has taken on the role of investor at a writing venture since November 2024. An academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta, completed between 2009 and 2014.
