Karol Danutama

VP, Engineering at Datasaur

Karol Danutama is the current Vice President of Engineering at Datasaur. Prior to this, they served as an Architect at GDP Labs from November 2012 to September 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the real time chat platform architecture using Java, Erlang, Typescript and Swift, with bursting concurrent 2k users. Karol also helped define and maintain the common architectural foundation at GDP Labs.

In addition to their work at GDP Labs, Danutama has also been responsible for leading a team of 7 engineers and defining the architecture for a consumer real time payment system using PHP. Karol has also led and bridged 20 remote engineers and other departments such as Product Manager, Program Manager, Marketing and Designer. Furthermore, they have supervised a team of 5 engineers in developing a scalable programming teaching platform using Java and Moodle LMS.
