James Updike

James Updike is a skilled software engineer with a strong background in application development and team leadership. Currently employed at Datasembly since April 2020, James previously held the position of Software Engineer Level 4 at Asurion from September 2013 to June 2019, where leadership and development of core retail warranty registration and claim filing web applications were key responsibilities. James also maintained AWS Ansible scripts and collaborated with user experience designers to align technical requirements with stakeholder needs. Early career experiences include serving as a Computer Lab Aide at the University of Mary Washington and interning at SWIFT. James earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Mary Washington, completing the program in 2013.
