Justin Chu

Justin Chu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Justin began their career as a Consultant and Programmer at Timeless Software Limited in 2004 and worked there for six years. Justin then joined Prudential Hong Kong as an Analyst Programmer in 2010 and later transitioned to a similar role at Hongkong Post in 2011. In 2015, Justin worked as a Senior Software Engineer at ASTRI before moving to the University of Kentucky in 2016 as a Research Assistant. In 2018, they joined DataStax as a Senior Graph Database Engineer, where they stayed until 2019. Justin then transitioned to the role of Senior Database Engineer at DataStax, which they currently hold. Throughout their roles, Justin has developed expertise in various programming languages and technologies such as Java, Python, Scala, Groovy, Cassandra, CQL, Spark, Hadoop, Distributed Systems, CI/CD, Docker, Cryptography, JUnit, Mockito, git, Gradle, and Maven.

Justin Chu completed their education in the field of Computer Science. Justin began by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Manchester, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Kentucky, from 2016 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Justin also obtained a certification in Java Web Component & J2EE Technology from Informatics International Limited in February 2006.
