Prabhat Jha

Prabhat Jha has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Prabhat is currently the Head of Engineering - Cloud Platforms at DataStax, where they focus on building excellent developer and operator experiences for Cassandra in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments. Previously at DataStax, they served as the Head of Engineering - Developer Experience, where they played a key role in developing multimodal APIs, Kubernetes operators, SDKs, and CLIs to facilitate the use of Cassandra in Kubernetes.

Before joining DataStax, Prabhat worked as the CTO at Wootric, an intelligent customer experience management platform. There, they utilized machine learning and natural language processing to help businesses optimize products, reduce churn, and enhance customer satisfaction. Prabhat'sprevious experience also includes being the Director of Software Development at Apigee, where they joined through the acquisition of InstaOps, a startup they co-founded. At InstaOps, they provided real-time visibility into mobile app performance, and the company was eventually acquired by Apigee.

Prabhat also has experience at Red Hat, where they served as an Engineering Manager, overseeing globally distributed teams working on projects such as JBoss Data Grid and JBoss Portal Platform. Prabhat started at Red Hat as a Software Engineer and progressed to senior roles and management positions. Additionally, they worked as a Systems Analyst at Midwest ISO, developing web services components for electricity management systems.

Earlier in their career, Prabhat held positions at Yodlee, Landmark Graphics, and the University of Texas at Austin, gaining experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer Intern, and Teaching Assistant, respectively.

Throughout Prabhat's professional journey, they have demonstrated expertise in engineering management, product development, and creating user-friendly experiences. Prabhat has a strong background in Java and JavaEE and has contributed to open-source projects. Prabhat's work experience showcases their versatility and adaptability across different domains and technologies.

Prabhat Jha pursued their education in the field of Mathematics and Computer Science. From 1998 to 2001, they attended Fairmont State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. Later, from 2001 to 2003, they enrolled in The University of Texas at Austin, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
