Byron Zhang

Byron Zhang is a highly experienced software engineer with a focus on health tech and social impact. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Datavant, Byron contributes to connecting a vast health data ecosystem to enhance healthcare delivery and reduce costs. Previously, Byron held the position of Full Stack Engineer and Technical Lead at Forward, participating in several product launches aimed at overhauling the US healthcare system. At Watsi, Byron developed a technology platform for universal healthcare in low-income countries and helped establish a crowdfunding platform for surgeries, significantly improving operational efficiency and patient care. Additional roles include Project Lead at Blueprint, an NLP Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, and various research positions focused on biomedical applications. Byron holds a degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
