Celeste Tretto

Celeste Tretto is a highly skilled software engineer currently at Datavant since June 2022, previously serving as a data scientist at the California Policy Lab and a senior data scientist at Marqeta, Inc. Celeste's career began at Splunk as a data analyst and data scientist after an early role as a data scientist at Fullpower Technologies. Additionally, research conducted at NASA Ames Research Center focused on improving air transportation simulators with nonparametric statistical models. Academic experience includes a teaching assistantship at UC Santa Cruz. Celeste's professional journey also includes a microfinance fellowship at Women's Initiative and asset management at SWM SwissWealth Management SA. Celeste holds a Master of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from UC Santa Cruz and dual Master’s degrees in Finance and a Bachelor’s in Economics from USI Università della Svizzera italiana, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from the United World College of the Adriatic.
