John Dwyer

John Dwyer is a Machine Learning Engineer at Datavant since April 2024, with a robust background in data science and machine learning. Previously, John held roles as a Staff Data Science Engineer and Senior AI Engineer at Gro Intelligence from January 2022 to April 2024, and as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, Lead Machine Learning Engineer, and Data Scientist at Dia & Co from July 2017 to January 2022. Earlier experience includes serving as a Fellow at Insight Data Science and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where John worked on integrating neural networks with climate models and studying extreme precipitation events. John began as a Graduate Student Researcher at Columbia University and the University of California San Diego, focusing on climate model simulations and pollution impacts. John holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University, a Master’s in Physics from UC San Diego, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from Columbia University.
