Tom Moran

Tom Moran has held a variety of roles in the IT industry since 2001. Tom began their career as a Firewall Administrator for Shell and Clearstream. In 2003, they became a Security Engineer for Vodafone Ireland, where they were responsible for administering, updating, and implementing rules for the Checkpoint firewall environment. In 2004, they moved to TelecityGroup as a Security and Network Engineer, managing and maintaining customer firewalls, switches, routers, and firewalls. In 2006, they worked as a Project Manager for Lisgibbon Developments. From 2007 to 2008, they were an IT Consultant for itxpress. In 2009, they were a Security Engineer for DataSolutions, doing presentations, live demonstrations, and consulting for customers. Since 2012, they have been a Senior Security Engineer for Threatscape and a Technical Director for Dataway.

Tom Moran has an education history that includes a Msc Accounting from Leeds Beckett University between 2007 and 2008, a Business Studies degree from Portobello College between 1992 and 1995, and a programming degree from Munster Technological University between 1990 and 1992. Tom also attended Rockwell College, though no degree was obtained. In addition, Tom Moran has obtained a Check Point Certified Security Administrator CCSA R80 certification from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd in November 2021, a Check Point Certified Security Expert CCSE R80 certification from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd in July 2022, and is currently in the process of obtaining a Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) and Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSE) certification from Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd.
