Daniel Bailey

Daniel Bailey has a strong background in software engineering, particularly in embedded Linux development for cloud-managed wireless access points. Daniel has experience in multiple roles and companies, including Datto, Inc., Mesh++, Open Mesh, and APCON, Inc. At Datto, they served as a Staff Software Engineer I and Team Lead, responsible for developing firmware images and contributing to the cloud-based management application. At Mesh++, they worked as a Firmware Lead Engineer, guiding the direction of the firmware and providing resources to the team. Daniel also held roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Datto, Inc. and Open Mesh, where they focused on embedded Linux development for wireless access points. Prior to that, they were a Senior Software Engineer I at APCON, Inc., where they developed software for layer 1-3 network switches. Daniel began their career in the US Army as a Specialist.

Daniel Bailey obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electric Engineering/Physics from Portland State University from 1999-2004. Daniel later pursued a Master's Degree in Statistics at Portland State University from 2008-2009.
