Michał Misiewicz began their work experience in 2017 as a Big Data intern at Allegro, where they created a geovisualization system using Apache Druid. In this role, they worked with Apache Spark, Scala, Spring, and Typescript.
From October 2017 to September 2019, Misiewicz worked as a Data Engineer at Datumo. Here, they developed Big Data platforms based on Apache Druid, Apache Kafka, and Apache Spark. Michał was also responsible for implementing a deep learning-based recommendation engine for one of Poland's largest recruitment platforms.
In November 2019, Misiewicz took on the role of a Big Data Trainer at Datumo, where they provided training on Big Data technologies.
From October 2019 to January 2021, Misiewicz served as a Big Data Platform Architect at Datumo. Their main project was building a high-performance Big Data platform on the Apache Druid technology. This platform had the capability to process up to 60,000 requests per second in real-time, with its purpose being to collect user data and preferences for monitoring business KPIs and enhancing customer experience.
Finally, since January 2021, Misiewicz has been working as the Chief Technology Officer at Datumo.
Michał Misiewicz earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Science from Warsaw University of Technology, attending from 2018 to 2020. Prior to their master's program, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science at the same institution, studying from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, Michał holds certifications in Professional Cloud Architect and Professional Data Engineer from Google Cloud, obtained in March 2023 and September 2022, respectively.
