Bryan Thurtle-Schmidt is an Associate Professor of Biology at Davidson College, a position held since July 2017. Prior to this role, Bryan served as an Assistant Professor of Biology and completed postdoctoral studies at UCSF from September 2012 to June 2017, focusing on membrane transport proteins under the mentorship of Robert Stroud. Earlier, Bryan was a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley, where doctoral research involved the biochemical and structural mechanisms of type II topoisomerases in James Berger's lab.
