David E. Hall

David E. Hall is president of Hallmark and with his brother leads all aspects of Hallmark's business. He joined the company in 1981, holding positions in sales, finance, legal, order distribution, and retailer relations. He led U.S. marketing and sales at subsidiary Crayola and served as senior vice president of human resources for Hallmark and as president of Hallmark North America. Dave earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Davidson and a law degree in 1989 from the University of Kansas. While at Davidson, Dave was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and the Chorus. He has served Davidson as a Fund for Davidson class agent, a Davidson Alumni Admission Program representative, and a member of the Board of Visitors. Dave and his wife, Laura, live in Mission Hills, Kansas. They recently established the Educational Access Scholarship of the Davidson Trust. David chairs the Student Recruiting, Enrollment, and Scholarships Committee and is a member of the Teaching, Learning, and Research Committee.
