John Deng

John Deng is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in restructuring and insolvency. Currently serving as Vice President and Legal Counsel at Davidson Kempner Capital Management since November 2021, John previously held positions as an Associate in the Restructuring and Recovery Group at Allen & Overy from April 2019 to November 2021 and at Hogan Lovells from August 2016 to April 2019. Additionally, John worked as a Manager at PwC Advisory from September 2009 to July 2015 and as an HCM Analyst at Goldman Sachs for a brief period in 2007-2008. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws and a Juris Doctor from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, complemented by a BBA in Global Business from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and an exchange program at Copenhagen Business School. Academic training commenced at King George V School, where foundational education was completed.
