Marlene Laforest has extensive experience in health, safety, and environmental management, having worked as a Coordinator for Santé et Sécurité au Travail at DAWCO since 2025 and previously as an Occupational Health and Safety Manager for the City of Pointe-Claire. They served as a Risk Management Advisor at MEDIAL Services from 2017 to 2021 and held similar roles at Bombardier Inc. and the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change. Marlene began their career as an Auxiliary Nurse at Portage from 2015 to 2016, where they contributed to therapeutic and preventive processes for individuals with substance abuse issues. They hold multiple degrees, including a DEC in Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, and Occupational Safety from Cégep de Saint-Laurent and a Certificate in Health and Safety at Work from Université de Montréal.
