Umar Ahsan Khan

Umar Ahsan Khan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Umar Ahsan began their career at ICI Pakistan Limited in 1990, where they held various positions within the Corporate Finance and Paints Business divisions. Umar Ahsan played a crucial role in identifying financial discrepancies and successfully advocating for supplementary funding. In 2010, Umar joined Dawlance Group of Companies as the Chief Financial Officer & Director Finance, where they strategically evaluated corporate options and gained sanction to restructure the group. Umar Ahsan then transitioned to Thal Engineering in 2014 as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the alignment of the business with international best practices and securing significant agreements with industry leaders. Currently, Umar serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Dawlance, where they continue to lead and drive business growth.

Umar Ahsan Khan holds a MSc (Econ) degree in Accounting & Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1989 to 1990.
