James Ramsay is currently the Head of R&D for In-Space Propulsion at Dawn Aerospace, leading efforts to develop innovative products and technologies to enhance accessibility to space. Previously, they served as a Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer and also held the position of Team Lead for Spacecraft Tanks and Structures at the same company. In addition to their aerospace experience, James has worked as a Sales and Marketing Associate at Flat City Bikes since 2019 and has held various engineering roles, including Production Engineer at Syft Technologies. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Fluid Dynamics and a Bachelor of Engineering with 1st Class Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, where they also contributed as a Teaching Assistant and tutor.
