In-Space Propulsion Test Engineer at Dawn Aerospace

Mathieu Vilmay has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Mathieu started their career as a Radioprotection Inspector at Apave, where they were responsible for radioprotection procedures and ensured conformity of X-Ray equipment. Mathieu then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Canterbury and CNRS - Laboratoire de Physique et Mécanique des Milieux Hétérogènes, where they gained experience in scientific instrumentation and experimental techniques. During this time, they participated in various research experiments and contributed to the design, assembly, and maintenance of experimental setups. Their role at the University of Canterbury also involved conducting an experimental study on contact line dynamics. Later, Mathieu worked at Syft Technologies as a Mechatronic Engineer and Integration Tester. In these roles, they were involved in quality inspection, coordination of workflow, and integration testing of Syft products. Currently, they are working at Dawn Aerospace as an In-Space Propulsion Test Engineer.

Mathieu Vilmay attended Ecole Nationale de Chimie, Physique et Biologie from 1996 to 1999. During their time at the institution, they pursued a degree in Physical Techniques for Industries and Laboratories, specifically a Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (BTS), which is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Scientific Instrumentation.
