Tim Dutton has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Tim currently holds two roles at Dawn Aerospace, starting in 2021: Operations/Certification Team Lead and Senior Flight Test Engineer. Prior to their current positions, Tim worked at the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand from 2018 to 2021 as a Flight Test Engineer. Tim also held multiple roles at Martin Aircraft Company from 2016 to 2018, including Head of Aircraft Test and Senior Flight Test Engineer. Tim'sresponsibilities at Martin Aircraft included overseeing and executing aircraft test activities, managing the aircraft test team, and leading flight test programs. Before that, Tim worked at QinetiQ from 2007 to 2016, serving as a Senior Flight Physics Engineer and Flight Physics Engineer. During their time at QinetiQ, they assessed aircraft handling qualities and performance, led projects, and worked on various aircraft platforms. Tim began their career as a Graduate Engineer, undertaking placements in different roles and gaining experience in project management, bid management, air vehicle systems engineering, and flight physics engineering. Tim Dutton has a strong educational background in the field of aeronautical engineering. In 2006, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering with Honors from Loughborough University. Following this, in 2013, they completed the Class A Flight Test Engineer program at the Empire Test Pilots' School. This program focused on flight testing. In October 2015, Tim received the Chartered Engineer certification from the Royal Aeronautical Society.
