Omar Alam

Omar Alam has extensive work experience in various engineering and management roles. Omar currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Day & Ross, a role they started in September 2019. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Manager of Linehaul Engineering and Manager of Linehaul Analytics at the same company. Before joining Day & Ross, Omar worked at Loblaw Companies Limited as an Analyst in Flow Supply Chain. Omar also has experience as a Team Manager at Gemma Communications, and in Industrial Engineering at Navistar Canada - International Truck & Engine Corporation. Additionally, they have worked as a Command - Reporting Specialist at Sutherland Global Services and as a Line Supervisor at EDAT Solutions, where they spearheaded the release of new non-destructive testing programs and implemented continuous improvement processes. Omar also served as an Assistant Project Coordinator at Emrick Plastics and as an HACCP Coordinator at Highline Mushrooms.

Omar Alam completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Windsor in 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Information Technology from BRAC IT Institute during the years 2000-2001.
