Lab Technician at Day Zero Diagnostics

Alexa Cecil has a variety of work experience in different fields. Alexa started their career in 2013 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Clinical Chemistry/Biomedical Research field, where they optimized a microfluidic platform for micro-RNA detection. In 2014, they interned at Association de Lutte Contre le SIDA (ALCS). In 2016, they worked as a University of Virginia Organic Chemistry Tutor. From 2017, they became a Lab Technician at Day Zero Diagnostics, Inc. Additionally, they have also held positions as an Observing Intern in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Montefiore Einstein and as an Intern/Participant in the Public Health Medical Program.

Alexa Cecil earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology and French from the University of Virginia in the years 2012 to 2016. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine from 2016 to 2017 to obtain a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.), with a focus on Research in Practice. Alexa Cecil also holds an IRB Citi Certification, although the details regarding the institution and when it was obtained are unknown.
