Derek Morris

Derek Morris has extensive experience in information security and cyber operations, currently serving as Senior Manager of Information Security at Daybreak Game Company LLC since February 2021. Prior roles include Deputy Director of Hunt and Security Operations at the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force, where strategic oversight of combined arms operations was provided. Derek also held the positions of Technical Director in Cyber Security for both the 2nd Marine Logistics Group and Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38, developing critical standard operating procedures and managing extensive cyber security protocols. Earlier experience includes leadership roles in cyber security and information systems security management across various Marine Corps units, where risk assessment and systems integrity were prioritized. Derek's career began as a Cyber Networking Technician in the Marine Corps, where foundational skills in network and systems administration were developed. Educational pursuits include a Bachelor's degree candidacy in Business Administration and Management from Park University.
