Simon Botto

Simon Botto has a diverse work experience. In 1991, they started their career as a Professional Water Polo Player and played over 150 official professional games on five different Italian professional teams. Simon also won a bronze medal in the European LEN Cup in 1997. In 2000, they joined Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP as a Senior Associate, where they gained extensive experience in the corporate legal practice, specializing in securities and capital markets, restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. Simon worked there until 2007. After that, they worked as an Independent Corporate Advisor for SMEs from 2009 to 2013. In 2010, they also served as an Advisor at AXOM S.A. In 2013, Simon Botto co-founded DayBreakHotels.com and currently holds the position of Co-Founder & CEO. Simon is also a passionate water polo player and has been playing for various Italian semi-professional teams since 2000, including SS Lazio and Roma Pallanuoto.

Simon Botto completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Law from Università degli Studi di Genova, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Simon then pursued a Diploma in International Studies with a focus on International Law and International Relations at Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) from 1999 to 2000. In 2008, Simon attended INSEAD and obtained an MBA degree with a specialization in Business Administration.
