Dayla Geotechnical is a specialist geotechnical consultancy for UK commercial, ground-mounted solar projects.

We only do solar. Not roads, not housing, not general construction. Our methodology is built around the realities of MW-scale solar from day one, not adapted from another sector.

What we deliver

Site Investigation. Geotechnical, hydrological and topographical surveys tuned for foundation performance and constructability, not just compliance reporting.

Validation and Testing. In-situ pull-out, compressive and lateral pile testing. We treat testing as a design tool, not an insurance step, validating how driven piles actually behave under solar racking loads.

Design and Optimisation. Solar foundation design that translates validated ground intelligence into pile length, steel section, embedment depth and installation method. Right-sized foundations, not default conservatism.

Why developers and EPCs work with us

Small ground assumptions scale rapidly across thousands of foundations. A generic ground report can quietly add steel, inflate tender prices or trigger pile refusals on site. We close the gap between soil mechanics and structural performance, so the data in our reports changes the pile, the racking layout and the tender price.

Founded by David Jo Martinez and Albert Fuentes Rodó, with cross-disciplinary experience spanning geotechnical investigation and solar structure supply. We speak both soil and steel.
