Michael K.

Michael K. is an experienced engineering professional specializing in process development and management in the semiconductor and laser diode industries. Currently serving as Principal Process Engineer at Daylight Solutions since October 2019, Michael previously held the position of Wafer Process Section Manager at Compound Photonics from March 2013 to October 2019, overseeing teams dedicated to high power laser diode development. Prior to that role, Michael managed wafer processes at Alfalight, where responsibilities included MOCVD and device cleaving. Michael's career began at Planar Systems, Inc. as a Process Engineer focused on AMLCD production for military avionics. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
